I thought the second book in this series was exciting…. But this, the third book, surpasses and surprises. What an ending, and so much carnage! There isn’t much here that I didn’t enjoy thoroughly. Finally Mikedemia can have some sort of peace.
Pug, Tomas and the three con Doin brothers are central again in this story, however Arutha makes the biggest appearance. At the centre of yet another war with an ancient enemy, our hero’s make their mission to stop it and hopefully destroy it. But it isn’t as easy as it sounds. There are many obstacles to overcome and much knowledge to be sought before the last battle can be fought and won.
Throughout this series I have enjoyed the stories of Pug and Arutha the most. Though in this final instalment I have found much respect for Guy BasTyra. A man that tried to do the right thing the wrong way. But still Pug and Arutha’s stories are still that which I enjoy best.
Overall I have to admit to these books being a fantastic fantasy series and the final giving readers the answers that they wished to know. I have thoroughly enjoyed this journey with some well written and sculptured characters. I recommend this book to anyone interested in the fantasy genre and give it a rating of 10/10 stars.
